Bank Of America May Be Seeking Over $10B In Fresh Capital -FT

Bank of America (BAC) is working on plans to raise more than $10 billion in fresh capital after early stress test findings showed the bank would need well in excess of that figure, the Financial Times reported on its Web site Sunday, citing people close to the situation.
Bank of America, Citigroup (C) and at least two other lenders will try to convince the Treasury and the Federal Reserve that the findings of the stress tests were too pessimistic, the Financial Times reported the people as saying.
Wells Fargo (WFC) and PNC Financial are also among those who will need to raise capital if the preliminary findings are upheld, the people said, the FT reported.
