looks like so true. Most reverse split guys ended dropping a lot in the not so long time. Typical examples are JDSU/JAVA/PCLN. But some did get back a lot in the long run like PCLN.

In fact, I think weak stocks tend to get reverse split.  It is not that reverse split makes stocks become weaker.  

Generally, association does not imply causation.  For example, studies found that strong positive association between number of firefighters and amount of damage.  Then people wonder:  does sending more firefighters cause more damage? In fact, the bigger the damage is, the more firefighters are sent.
