10/01/12 Weekly 选股大赛参考：强势股扫描

本周有17支股，很多是从上周继承来的。

• 大部分都是在作突破前的盘整，比如：AKAM, DSCO, ELLI, GPS, GET, GEN, GRFS, NRF, REGN, SRPT, SWHC
• 有些是突破后的pullback测试突破点，因此是第二次入口，比如：AOL, ARRY, SHFL, SMBL, WYN
• 有些是pullback后，H2 Long setup：WNR
• 大家如果对某支股为什么入选有问题的话，随时问，我画图解答。
  

• 这个链接解释了怎样做buy breakout，因为我发现大多数人不明白我选这些股的原因。
• 关于buy pullback的setup，我以后发现比较好的例子后也会写篇东东的，这样大家慢慢就理解我选股的好处了。
• 这个链接解释了为什么我选择出来的股票大都是在52-week high附近。总之，基本思路是应该buy 52-week high而不是buy 52-week low。如果嫌链接的文章太长，这里是我的简单解释。
• 这个链接解释了应该怎样分配你的资金。总之，你不能把所有的钱都放在一个鸡蛋上。
• 所有的扫描的股票必须三个月平均交易量50万以上，当日交易量20万以上。只管强势股扫描，不管大盘的影响，不考虑ER的时间。强势股在遇到大盘猛烈下跌的时候，往往跌幅也会很大，因为机构可能被迫清除优势股票以填补投资组合下跌造成的损失。所以各位在参考扫描结果的同时，不要忽略大盘的走势！

我知道很多人根本不看最后面的链接，所以这里再次把base and breakout的选股原理和常用trading方法贴出来，如果还是不明白，没有突破前，不是buy的话，我就没有办法了。做股票是需要一定的观测力的，都反反复复说了，还是没有看到的话，就不知道该说什么了。

Could you please explain a little about why "1) find a strong uptrend.  This is veryy important for the buy breakout setup.  The cleaner the trend is the better".  Thanks!

因为盘整的本质是continuation pattern，所以一定要有previous trend，才能知道continuation的方向。你理解成惯性就好了。strong uptrend的股票多半向上的惯性很大，这样，盘整后向上疯狂突破的可能才大啊。这个previous trend以及盘整区不用你找，我每周都帮你找好了，所以你不用担心的。我只是解释选股的原理。

为什么要uptrend cleaner，如果是zigzag up的话，就不是strong trend。你应该知道，一旦强趋势来了，根本就不会有回调的机会让你上船的。这个就是我们要找的股票的第一步。

Thanks, that's a great addition. How did you do that? Check them one by one?

I used to do 3 additional things after found those stock:

1. What does the company do? I'd think senior care has future but if it's a clothing industry, I'd think twice.
2. Find those stocks' ranks, say in IBD.
3. Find any insider BUY in the last couple of years.

Those 3 steps are not necessary because the pattern now I chose should at least support a short-term upside move, then a breakeven stop loss would be enough as if the trend is strong, I can ride the trend forever, if the trend is not strong, I lose nothing.

yahoo finance offers all kinds of FA information. I run a script to query data from yahoo finance, for unlimited ticks.

Yeap，个股除了要考虑大盘的影响以外，还要考虑ER，时不时的还有些吃饱了没事干的分析师upgrade/downgrade，所以要考虑的因素真的很多。以前没有2x, 3x ETF的时候，个股风险大，但是收益大，所以还是值得做的，现在有2x, 3x ETF，最不济，还可以做Futures，所以直接trading大盘可以减少很多复杂性。一句话，做大盘，对了就是对了，错了就是错了。而做个股，对了，可能错了，为啥，大盘整了，可能个股反而跌了。当然，也有错了反而对的时候。总之，增加了复杂性。

嗯，我上次提供的那个Excel表格应该就可以自动下载各种数据了。
