Dubai has asked for a standstill on its US$20 billions worth of Islamic Bond issued to Dubai World group. European markets are sharply down and so is Euro. However, IMHO, I doubt this will evolve into a Lehman style deleveraging crisis as Abu Dubai (and other Gulf neighbours) are not likely to stand by and watch Dubai default.

the thing is there is literally no money to save anyone. this is only Dubai world project, Dubai has too many useless project going on, the default total is much larger than this. beside Dubai cant print its way out like USA. do a quick research on their GDP and reserve i am pretty sure they don't have much power to save anything.  this like Ice land and Argentina, when the new on national bound is announced to default usually mean the government has thought about every possible way and pulled all strings but problem wont get solved.  Good luck too all believers.
