POT: Fertilizer stocks: AmTech Broadpoint is confident that fertilizer stock
prices will likely be higher 3 months from now as buying activity resumes with
strength and potash pricing gradually inches up (109.64)

Broadpoint AmTech notes that fertilizer stocks have significantly
underperformed the market over the past several weeks (down ~15% since March
16 versus up ~5% for the S&P) as concerns over stalled potash pricing,
phosphate margin pressure, and soft corn prices have led to a sharp reversal
in sentiment. While they are confident that stock prices will likely be higher
3 months from now as buying activity resumes with strength and potash pricing
gradually inches up, they recognize that the path to the higher stock prices
will be choppy as investors await concrete evidence that strong industry
fundamentals are sustainable and sufficiently solid to provide pricing
traction and rekindle investor sentiment. Firm continues to believe that
investors should take advantage of the rampant negative sentiment in the

my take is that even if it drops, i think 200sma is still going to hold.
