04/09/2015 Trading Range and Double Bottom

Here's the best trade of the day. The key is to know that today is a range day, so the setup is very subjective which I usually don't follow.







Here's the trade I actually took today. Experienced traders may question this trade as it's not a perfect setup, just I have 2 more reasons not showing here. One of them can be easily grasped so can be posted. But I'll need see any HTers could tell me why the trade is questionable first. No one has a doubt, or raise a correct reasoning for the doubt, then I wouldn't bother to present my reason.

3个PUSH UP后，我一直在等2nd leg, and never came . 2nd double bottom signal bar is too weak  but entire breakout is strong. I am a little surprised that we had a climax bar as breakout bar which kick me out.

3 push up以后已经是2 leg down了，否则怎么是double bottom？double bottom一条腿就能成立吗？

double bottom的标准入点啊，breakout neckline啊。

唯一不太明白的地方是three push down后到了range high你为什么不走

想来想去唯一的可能是volume不大？

谢谢，我是看到那里出了上影，觉得可能是个假突破，不过图里那个bar还没走完

我是觉得，2nd bottom和接连的2个BAR有点WEAK， 没有1个POSITIVE  ＢＡＲ,就是说没有看到reversal bar，或者说，2nd bottom bar 是个WEAK  reversal and no follow up
可是谁知道　第３个ＢＡＲ才是reversal并且是个ＳＰＩＫＥ。。。感觉有点cheating...

想来想去还是想不明白为啥到了range high你不走啊。。。vol也有surge啊，而且后面也确实跌下来了啊

你是说买了double bottom后，突破，然后测试rang high，应该走，是吧？这里不应该走，为什么？以后看多了（如果我经常贴的话）就明白了。

Buy stop在neckline以上，你管他那两个bar weak不weak呢？如果一直weak下去是不会触发你的buy stop的。Day trading很多entry都是靠buy stop自动等来的。关键是要判断出为什么这次突破neckline有可能成功，而不是假突破。Double bottom不是每次突破neckline都是真的，至少有一半的机会是假的。

So after your buy stop, you set up sell stop at button low?
