You can transfer it out and put it into a rollover personal retirement account. This way you can trade this account much easier than Fidelity, where you can only trade fund

I'm not sure if you have to transfer it out. But you can always call them to figure out

depend on your 前雇主.
Some 雇主 allow ex-employees to keep the 401k in the company ( my previous company did). Some won't allow. In latter case, you have to move out your 401k.

dayuangone8's suggestion is right. and that's what I did. so I could trade stocks instead of mutual funds only.

如果是上市公司，可以买卖你公司的股票的话，你不必转，因为你太熟悉它了。同时也不要想买个股，risk太大，除非你有很好的401K投资理念。买index,配合你的新雇主的401，这样你就能前后连贯的理财了
