问一个SPY的学术问题？

今天SPY分红，价格减了９毛，跟指数也有了差异，大家知道，死皮每个季度都要分红，估算下来，一年有将近４元，这样日积月累，应该跟指数差距很大，可为什么现在看到的价格跟指数差别很小，几乎就是指数除以１０

估计过段时间，今天分红造成的差异又会慢慢消失，直至下次分红, 谁能解释这个问题？

SPX 是指数，不分红。
SPY 分红，over the quarter 渐渐 build up premium over SPX. 比如从今天6月ex-div day，到9月 ex-div day, 你会看见 spy*10 慢慢拉大和SPX 的距离。

spy 发的dividend就是从spx500各个成分股的红利累计而来的。

2003-12-31： SPX=1111.92，  SPY=111.28
10 年后
2013-12-31：SPX=1848.36， SPY=184.69

这好像有问题！

如果你hold SPX index fund in 401K from 2003-12-31 to 2013-12-31，
（assume no expense/load fee），  return  是：（1848.36-1111.92）/1111.92=66.23%

可是如果你hold SPY ETF  from 2003-12-31 to 2013-12-31，
（assume no transaction fee），   return  是：（184.69-111.28/111.28=59.69%，
    还要加上这十年里得到的40次分红，大约40 x $0.70 =$28.00：  大约28/111.28=25.16%
      总的return  大约是59.69%+25.16%=84.85%  啊呵阿嗄啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊

      
所以和hold  SPX  比，hold  SPY 好像一年白白多得4次分红。。。。这。这。这是怎么回事？
俄一直以为 （SPY  加上分红）的performance  是完全 follow  SPX  的 performance。
俄现在很糊涂，很困惑，很震惊，很自卑，  很纠结，很焦急。。。。


请哪位大侠解惑？？！！

1。 每天在Yahoo， google,  Etrade, TD. etc.   看到的SPX  price， 是S&P 500 Index 还是S&P 500 Total Return Index？

2。401K 里的 SP 500  fund  follows  应该是S&P 500 Total Return Index  而不是S&P 500 Index，  对吧？

I think Yahoo， google,  Etrade, TD. etc. show S&P 500 Index rather than S&P 500 Total Return Index.

2。401K 里的 SP 500  fund  follows  应该是S&P 500 Total Return Index  而不是S&P 500 Index，  对吧？

I think over long term if management cost is ignored SPY price follows S&P 500 Index and SPY + dividends follows S&P 500 Total Return Index.
