It has been mentioned many times the DOW transportation index (^DJT) has been having divergence with the Dow industry average (^DJI) for a few months. Since the reason to say that the DJT needs to follow DJI is that "industrials make and the transports take", then in the cyber age, when a lot of goods and services are delivered not through transportation, but through the internet, then this theory does not necessarily work, depending on the fraction of goods produced through traditional industry vs goods produced via cyber space.
Does anybody know what is the fraction of GDP that is delivered over internet?
