IMHO, markets are approaching a short term top. But as I menationed ealier, the fact this week is a quadruple option expiration week will cause a lot of volatility inlcuding fake breakouts. And you might find many indicators you rely on  are not functioning well. So be cautious.

Thanks a lot for the update. It sure is going to be a wild week. Now we are already around 765, plus the financial stocks have been up 6 days in a row (if today ends up in green), and it would be so crazy if this market is going all the way from 666 to 780 or 800 without taking any break. Hope I could double my shorts up to 50% if we do go to 780 or above by tomorrow.

Are you sure? I found the next report date is Apr.13,2009.

Bulls got all excited today. Another new high for SPX? Well, check out financial (XLF). It actually had a low higher compared to yesterday. Remember that financial has been a step ahead of overall market in this rally. It went up last Monday (3/9) while overall market was down. The best scenario for bears is: markets have one last push (another 10~15 points) tomorrow before having a intra-day reversal. Giving the fact that this week is a quadruple option expiry week, the volatility was expected and break out can be fake. The bottom line for bears is 800~805. Tomorrow I will add more short positions above 790 with stop of 805.

will play the post MAD tomorrow morning. If tomorrow we have gap up to 790, xlf could have a higher high though...
