　　总理走了，总统来了。对西班牙的半决赛，被德国队视为“幸运使者”的总理默克尔因公事繁忙提前离开南非而无法观战，结果勒夫的小伙子们遗憾地以0比1输给了对手。赛后，默克尔特意给领队比埃尔霍夫打来电话表示“歉意”。对乌拉圭的三四名决赛，默克尔依旧无法出席，不过另一位政坛大人物，刚刚上任的总统武尔夫却将现场观战，或许德国战车又将得到幸运女神的眷顾？

　　武尔夫7月1号刚刚上任，因此没来得及赶上对阿根廷的四分之一决赛以及对西班牙的半决赛，但在对乌拉圭的比赛结束后，总统先生亲自给勒夫打去电话，表示问候的同时也正式通知球队：“周六我将现场为你们加油。”随后，德国足协证实了这一消息，南非外交部也在例行新闻发布会中宣布，包括武尔夫在内的多名国家元首将在周六出席德国与乌拉圭的三四名决赛。

　　默克尔被称为“幸运使者”，每当她现场观战，德国队基本都能赢得比赛的胜利，本届世界杯总理现场观看了德国对阿根廷的比赛，结果球员们大发神威4比0大胜对手，而她提前离开未能现场观战则被认为是德国队随后被西班牙击败的原因之一。对乌拉圭，将是武尔夫首次以总统身份观看德国队比赛，不知道他能不能给球队带来好运。

　　不过可以肯定的是，总统现场观战，肯定会让德国队的小伙子们更具动力，现在正在客串电视台解说员的前国门卡恩就表示，球员必须为国家的荣誉而战，不能给总统先生抹黑：“我们必须更加谨慎小心才行，绝对不能重复对西班牙时犯下的错误。”

你们不了解现在的德国啊。德国人是宁肯裁减国家军队，也不会裁减国家足球队的。世界杯的时候，整个国家都是围绕足球转的，好多公司里开放了大屏幕电视转播，让大家在上班时间也能看到世界杯足球比赛。

en, it is the same thing here. When there is hot ice-hockey game, people can watch the game at work as well. This exception is only for ice-hokey game.

You haven't seen Microsoft. We have pool tables, table tennis tables, summer picnics, soccer fields, free drinks, and many more perks. I think Google is even better. They offer 3 free meals every day.

Yes, Microsoft and google are giant firms, much much bigger than my firm from a small nation. However, my firm is able to offer many of the benefits you just mentioned, free drinks like coffee, redbull and coke, fruits, cookies, free breakfast, free fitness + gadget for fitness, free phone with monthly expense... I guess not many firms can afford these.

We don't have free phones :(, but we have free memberships at ProSports Club, which used to be the training camp for NBA team Seattle Sonics, which now is Oklahoma Thunder.....

The free phones, or even broadband internet access, is almost standard benefit for private sectors especially in IT and financial fields.  Even in public sectors, phones + expense restricted to work are sometimes offered to staff.

Here the expense of telecomm such as phone calls and broadband network access  is rather cheap. For mobile phones, it charges for calling out only. Here it's rather common that preschool kids start using combile phones. They can just take the phones with them when going out alone to play with friends.  Fix line phones and intenet access are dying here, especially in remote areas. Mobile phones and broadband wireless internet accessare becoming the lifestyle of Finnish dailylife...

I am not sure what you are talking about ProSports Club,  NBA gives me a bit clue though...

What we have here is firm offers sport coupons at half price that can be used in nation wide sport centers and facilities for all kinds of sports available such as downhill skiing, scruba, bowling, water amuzement park, spa, horse riding, and whatsoever sport you like and avaiable ...  But the quota for half year  of sport coupons at my firm is 200 euro per person.

Firm also offers discounted lunch coupons that can be used nation wide as well. You can basically buy anything except alcohol and cigarette from all restaurants, bars and gasolin stations... Lunch coupons can be deducted from salary tax as well. Some finnish firms offer discounted lunches with contracted restaurants like Nokia.

Culture coupons can also be used nation wide for movies, conserts, shows, museum...

It is small country so the coupons are for the nation wide facilities. These are really cool things.

Other small benefits are discounted services with firm contracts for dentists, optical etc...
