TCP/IP netwrok transport is not installed

My laptop (Windows XP Pro) shows the above message and I can't connect internet. Tried a few options learned from web such as deleting Winsock and Winsock2 and inistall clean ones, but did not work out.

Help is desperately

needed.

sorry, I am not the IT person. It always work for me when I plug in the cable

Resinstall XP is the fastest way to go. That should repair the system issue.
