As far as Toronto is concerned, didn't go up that much, nothing is crazy here. And, most new immigrants from China bought houses here with cash. Good for the enconomy here as well. Last, it is always location, location, location. no space left alone the subway line.
Of course, always buy what you can afford. Otherwise, once the rates go up, you will be screw, but after today, my guess rate will stay low in Canada for a while. And, try to get some rental income.
