很多人有时候都会有过要一个与世隔绝的生活，在美国有一男子选择了在一座岩石孤山上生活。

位于佐治亚州的嘉杜拉一个岩石上有一房子，其实也是一座寺院，59岁的马克西姆•卡夫塔拉（Maxime Qavtaradze）在那里过着遗世独立的生活。但是住在那里生活也不是那么容易的，每次出门下山就要花20多分钟。

59岁的马克西姆曾经是一名毒贩，后来悔悟转而成为一名僧侣，他将岩石顶部一座废弃的修道院重新修葺后，改建为自己的房子。他的身边还有两位追随者共同生活，一起祷告。
