[灌水聊天] U4GM Poe 2 Fate Of The Vaal Atlas Passives Slap

I know everyone's busy arguing about the shiny new stuff in 0.5, but Fate of the Vaal going core is the real endgame shakeup imo. After a bunch of maps and temple setups, I ended up grabbing some PoE 2 Currency there for testing room upgrades faster, and the difference is obvious: you can't treat this like old league content anymore. It's not side content now. It's part of your Atlas life, and if you're still skipping Beacon setups like it's 0.4 filler, you're trolling your own progression.

Why people are reading this wrong
Saw a lot of people saying "cool, free temple every now and then" and nah, that's not what this is. Since Return of the Ancients 0.5, the mechanic feels like a main pillar, not a bonus chest simulator. The Atlas passive support alone gives it away. If you spec into Vaal nodes, you get more Beacons, better reward rooms, and way more reason to chase corruption outcomes instead of pretending mapping drops will carry. I tested a few trees, and the Vaal-focused one felt way better than the generic juice setup for actual item spikes. Especially if your build wants double-corrupt gambling. That's still the sauce, even with the brick chance still there.

What I've been doing
My best runs were the boring smart ones. First thing I did was force room connections early, then worry about upgrades after. Most guides recommend greed first, but in my experience if the temple layout is scuffed, your whole payoff is mid. Doryani's Institute is still goated for gem plays, and Locus of Corruption is still the room everybody really wants even if they pretend they're farming "for variety." The good news is the path to Apex of Atziri feels less annoying than it did in 0.4. Not free. Just less miserable. So yeah, if you're trying to reach the boss, fix your links before you start chasing dream rooms.

What feels nerfed for real
And the old snake-style optimization nonsense looks pretty dead. I couldn't force those clean loot loops the same way, and I got a couple weird room shifts when trying to brute-force a pattern. Could be intended, could be me missing something, but it definitely doesn't feel as abusable. Also, the Architects hit harder now. Patch notes say around 15% more health and damage, and honestly that tracks with what I felt in maps. My comfy clear build started taking random chunks if I got lazy. Corruption outcomes also feel more coin-flippy now. Fewer shrug results, more "huge win or absolute brick." Kinda scary, but tbh that's more fun than half-dead middle outcomes.

Here's the thing though
The part I'm still not 100% sure on is temple level scaling from low-tier maps, and party stuff sounds messy too. I haven't seen a clean answer on whether one T16 incursion can carry a bunch of low-tier ones, or if rewards stay capped by the average map level. Same with co-op Atlas sharing. If your group is mapping together, I genuinely don't know if temple progress is shared cleanly or if someone can mess up somebody else's layout by accident. If you've been testing with a static, post it. I've been checking info and even used U4GM before when I needed quick item help for build testing, but on these two mechanics the community still seems split, so curious what everyone else thinks?
