SLV is on a silver acquisition tear right now. Just so happens that Comex warehouse supplies are increasing in rough proportion to increased SLV inventory. One would expect that as SLV inventories rise, Comex inventories would decrease, but the opposite is happening. Could it be that Comex is warehousing for SLV? Or pehaps there is just a lot more silver out there than the bugs on this site believe. Any thoughts or theories on this?

12-18-2006, 09:21 PM Assuming that Buffets silver backed the first 120 million oz's, we wont see much action on Comex until we burn through that first. If we don't start to see some major action on Comex very far into the next offering, you can bet that there is some major accounting tricks going on and the SLV shares are not backed by real physical. Just another paper derivative diverting physical demand...

Buffett...not Butler,...and yes that first stockpile came from Warren...but the question is...where is the next stockpile to feed the ETF... I'm sure it's not the Comex... |
