American artistic swimmer Anita Alvarez was rescued from the bottom of the pool after fainting at the World Aquatics Championships in Budapest. Her coach, Andrea Fuentes, pulled her to the surface before the swimmer was taken away on a stretcher. USA Artistic Swimming said Alvarez was not allowed to compete on Friday because of international federation Fina's "athlete safety concerns".
