BAC, C posted huge loss this quarter,  you are expecting they will make money in next two quarters????  Wake up!!!  Tons of foreclosure houses are out there...More people will be out of job or even people with job might got salary cut or bonus cut, who dare to spend?  Without consumer spending, US economic will go nowhere... Current GDP is because of the cash for clunker program and $8,000 credit for the first time buyer... then what happen to the next few quarters?  Who is going to buy new cars any more?  People who has the job might be worried about their own job too?  That's the reality, the truth.

I happened to check the property value on one street in CA, in 1997, 98, the houses on the street were about 270,000 to 300,000.  But now they are 750,000 and 800,000.  Do you think the houses are cheap now?  How much do our salaries really go up these years?  Americans really don't have much free money on hand after paying the mortgages, car payment and the money they spend on their kids college education.

US govenment is trying to restore confidence.  In this way, they hope US corporates would stop layoff workers and Americans would start to spend.  However, how much free money Americans could afford to spend like before since houses prices are almost double than 8 or 9 years ago?
